Ah, May I Again Find the Time

You Are an Excellent Cook

You're a top cook, but you weren't born that way. It's taken a lot of practice, a lot of experimenting, and a lot of learning.
It's likely that you have what it takes to be a top chef, should you have the desire...

Growing up so fast

We are fairly open with the girls and try to be as honest about things as we can. DD has rummaged through my bathroom cabinets and asked about all contents at one point or another. Once, the nail polishes and cotton balls were her fancy but lately she's been more interested in the feminine hygiene products. I haven't gone into all the gorey details; she’s only three and half. I have explained however, that one day, when she’s a teenager, she will be big enough to use these things herself and that seemed like the perfect amount of info for her. Every now and then, she feels it necessary to put some of the sanitary pads in my purse so that I might have them when I go to work. A few times, I’ve begun to walk out the door and found my purse overstuffed with tiny little pink packages. But the other day, her actions were so cute. She found my box of panty liners which in case you don’t know, are smaller than the regular pads. She pulled one out of the box and said, “Look Mama, just my size”. Then she slapped it between her legs (over her clothes) and ran out of the bathroom. I have no idea what happened to it and she hasn’t done it again. Maybe for a moment she was pretending to be a teenager.

Baby Kisses

AB began giving kissed just a few weeks ago. They began as open mouth touches on the face (sometimes transfering slobber and a little snot along too) but have now evolved to the cutest little lip pucker with an 'mm-waa' sound at the end. Her face lights up with such joy after giving and receiving a kiss. She has such a beautiful smile even though she only has 6 teeth.

She has already begun kissing little boys that she doesn't even know. Last weekend we took her to the park and a young boy came over to see what we had in our wagon. She marched right up to him, grabbed a hold of him and planted a smackaroo right on his mouth. He looked a little surprised but did not run away. He tried to get away from her but she kept trying to make another connection. All of the adults around were giggling and trying to take pictures. My brother got a couple of good ones. Z guy is a little worried about AB and her teenage years now but I think she'll be just fine. Besides, he's cute - she has good taste.
